PRP Scalp Injections

PRP has been shown in studies to have a better effect than Rogaine in the treatment of hair loss. Often we recommend using multiple treatments to compliment each other to optimize hair growth and minimized hair loss.  A scalp PRP treatment uses the power of your own natural growth factors to stimulate hair growth.  It is recommended to receive a series of treatments to optimize results and consider combining it with our keravive hydrafacials.

PRP, short for platelet-rich plasma, refers to a component of your own blood that contains a higher concentration of platelets compared to normal blood. The platelets play a crucial role in the healing process by releasing growth factors that influence tissue repair in various types of cells.

In the context of hair restoration, the growth factors released by platelets stimulate the growth of hair follicles. During the PRP hair restoration procedure, your scalp will be numbed with anesthesia to ensure a pain-free experience. Small injections are then used to deliver the highly concentrated platelet-rich plasma into the skin, targeting weak hair follicles. The entire procedure takes around 30 minutes to an hour, and you can drive yourself home and resume normal activities immediately afterward.

The main purpose of PRP injections for hair restoration is to activate dormant hair follicles, promoting active hair growth. Platelet cells accelerate tissue regeneration and stimulate stem cells around the hair follicles, believed to contribute to hair growth. If you have weak or thinning hair with still-functioning hair follicles or small bald spots on your scalp, you might be a suitable candidate for PRP hair restoration.
